About SPINNSOFT
Spinnsoft's mission is to provide software tools to help art businesses succeed in an ever-changing and challenging business environment. Established in 1992 by Doug Spinn, SPINNSOFT was originally founded to provide small business computer users with the very best software and support possible in today’s fast-paced environment. Over the years, Spinnsoft has provided custom databases to many divergent industries, including Architecture and Engineering, Oil and Gas Exploration, Manufacturing, Accounting Systems and many other small business systems. In 1994, Spinnsoft was commissioned to design the first version of the Gallery Database as a custom application for a Laguna Beach gallery. It grew and eventually spread to several other California galleries during the first few years, but it was not introduced as a commercial product until mid-1999. Since then, the popularity of the Spinnsoft Gallery Database has grown to include galleries, artists and publishers across the country and internationally. Spinnsoft brings its experience computerizing a wide range of businesses to the art world, and now devotes nearly 100% of it's resources to the development, support and marketing of art-related products. In 2001, Doug Spinn and Zella Jackson (The Art of Selling Art) joined forces to produce the first International Art Business Symposium. The goal was to give galleries, artists and publishers the chance to come together, network and learn new marketing and technical skills. The Symposium was a great success, hosting over 100 people at the first event! Spinnsoft has one primary philosophy: Create excellent software, provide it at a fair price, and provide personal service and support for the long term.
